  So what I'm getting out of all of this, is that you should never watch any TV shows (and probably movies) that are based on books you've read and liked? With that said, did you see that Amazon is going to release a "Good Omens" series? Neil Gaiman will be the show runner for it, so hopefully it will keep pretty close to the source material...

  No, not necessarily. I still like The Magicians, Harry Potter, LOTR, Hobbit, HHG, etc... They're just different from the beloved text I found first. Douglas Adams did that intentionally with every version (radio/novel/movie scripts/TV show/comic book/video game) of HHG. There was a BBC radio version of Good Omens that was a little different from the novel's text, but still good. I think I actually put it up here a while ago. Did you listen to it? I'm so far behind on TV adaptations. I've got a bunch archived to be watched later.
